Busy Life...

Wow, it's been over a year since my last post... not good. Well between all my friends getting pregnant and having babies I haven't had time to knit much else other than baby blankets. Along with planning my wedding it seems as though there's no free time!

I just signed up for ravelry last week, I can't believe it took me so long to find it! Such a great site, now I need to catalog my stash, hopefully it will give me some ideas as to what to do with all the yarn I have!

My current project is Lion Brand's "Baby Tree of Life Afghan" It's coming out great! The baby isn't due til September, so I've got a bit of time still.

Other projects recently completed:
-Mint Green Basket Weave Blanket for Sarah (due in June)
-Light Purple Cabled blanket for Samantha Feigan (Eric and Liz's daughter)
-Purple Diamond Weave blanket for my neice Joey (SO CUTE!, but I guess I'm biased)

Up next in the queue
-Finish my Red Glitter-Spun Shrug by Christmas Time (let's see if that happens!)
-Maybe a blanket for my friend Mike? (Also expecting in September)

Projects Projects everywhere...

So I was working on a baby blanket for my friend Elizabeth who's due next week, and I finally finished it two weeks ago. I sent it home with my mom to give to her (Elizabeth's first child is in kindergarten at my moms school) I tried to take pictures, they didn't turn out all that well, but here they are anyways. This one's really dark, so you can't see much of it.




There wasn't much light for the pictures but I did the best I could. I made it with Lion Brand Jiffy yarn, and this pattern:

I loved how it turned out. I hope I get a chance to knit it again sometime.



While I was at it I knit a hat too (it was quick to knit!)
